At a time when data, personal or not, is all around us, how should we go about considering all of the issues involved?
Hogan Lovells Paris invites you to participate in its 7th TMT seminar on Monday 10th April 2018 from 08:45 at our Paris office.
Looking at three concrete examples applied to the Automotive, Life Sciences and Banking sectors, each of our speakers will take a different angle:
- Attacks on data held by companies are frequent today, often exploiting the slightest security breach. We will look at the driverless car market and the insurance coverage for the main risks of security breaches in relation to these vehicles.
- Data management is multi-faceted: it can be used to anticipate certain risks and also to relieve the manufacturer of liability by allowing for increased traceability regarding the operation of a connected device. Using the example of a connected medical device, we will look at the issues surrounding data, very often personal and even sensitive data, which arise right from product conception.
- Finally, data is no longer seen as just a regulatory matter implying constraints and risks, but also as an asset for a company. How can we make the most of this asset in the banking sector? We will cover the issues involved and good practice.
